Product Features
Product Description
The latest collaboration between AXO and Boa technology has produced the newest idea in street footwear. The Boa closure system is super easy to work, just push the rear mounted dial in and twist it until the steel lace tightens the instep of the boot to the desired tension. Pull the dial open and the laces release themselves. The outer of the Striker is made with a combination of PU coated synthetics for durability, perforated and solid material panels and molded rubber allowing unique fit and support exactly where you need it. The center Boa lace guides are self-centering and low in friction. Pressure-molded suede leather is placed over the ankle and back of the boot to offer support and reduce wear and tear. The Boa dial is surrounded and mounted to a 3D-molded heel cap. It has sculpted top of the boot helps you to walk in or spend the day in the Striker. Soft padding, rolled edges and internal seams all add to the comfort of the Striker. The rubber toe cap allows dirt and frontal debris to simply wipe off. The injection-molded sole and EVA heel insert reduce road vibration and reduce foot fatigue. A washable and removable foot bed is inserted inside the boot.

I purchased these boots a little over a year ago and I wear them just about every day. So far the durability has been excellent, no rips, holes, or tears have developed on my pair. The PROS:1. Easy and convenient lacing system. Very easy to put on and remove. I LOVE the BOA lacing mechanism so much that I purchased amphibious hiking sandals with the same feature (Treksta Kobra).2. The outsole has excellent grip; almost comparable to the Vibram(tm) type outsole found in rock climbing shoes. I'VE NEVER SLIPPED on oil, sand or water while on my bike. (Just be cautious of loose pebbles or small rocks while straddling a sportbike).3. Construction quality is excellent as I mentioned above. I've put 10K miles on my bike with these boots, and they still look new (if not seen up close, of course).4. Ankle protection is ok; better than wearing non-motorcycle sneakers and shoes.5. Easy to clean. A large part of the exterior of the boot is made of smooth rubber/synthetic surface, which makes it easy to clean. The CONS:1. The boots are narrow and fit rather snug. They become uncomfortable about an hour walking in them. I don't think riders with wide square feet will find these boots comfortable.2. When I purchased the AXO boots they only came in whole sizes (no longer the case), my true shoe size is 9.5 and I purchased size 10 and they still fit snug, I recommend buying these boots a size larger than what you normally wear.3. The dial on the back sticks out too much, my pants get caught on the dial when I'm riding, and when walking down on cement stairs the dial can strike the the edge of a step, which runs the risk of damaging the dial.4. Definitely not water proof, or water resistant. Just going over a puddle, water will find its way inside the boot while on the bike.5. They don't look stylish with regular jeans or baggy pants, since they are narrow toed, but they look good paired with my RED ROUTE cargo pants.6. They do squeak a bit, but it doesn't bother me at all; in fact, I didn't really notice it until I read other online reviews.Overall, I'm very content with these boots. Considering other current offerings on street riding footwear, I wouldn't replace my AXO Strikers with any other boots or shoes for dry weather street riding. The BOA lacing system is SO convenient and the traction is great. The AXO Striker boots are pricey, but not so much more than basketball shoes that so many people waste their money on.
