The item description does not say there is no sole, if it had, I would not have purchased. The opening is very small and we had to put the boots on without shoes, then pull the foot through the bottom to put the shoe on. The 2 elastic strips across the bottom provide no traction and also allow the shoes to come out after walking a while. I am returning the boots.
